Overview

Ram Tracker ("the App") is a vehicle maintenance tracking application developed by Jameel Matin ("we", "us", or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our App.

Information We Collect

• Email Address: Collected when you create an account or sign in. Used solely for authentication and account management.
• Photos: When you use the receipt scanning feature, photos are captured using your device camera. Photos are stored securely and associated with your account for maintenance record keeping.
• User ID: A unique identifier is assigned to your account for authentication and to associate your data with your profile.
• Vehicle & Maintenance Data: Information you enter about your vehicle, service records, fuel logs, and costs. This data is stored to provide the core functionality of the App.

How We Use Your Information

Your information is used exclusively for App functionality:

• Authenticating your account
• Storing and displaying your vehicle maintenance records
• Providing AI-powered maintenance advice
• Scanning and storing receipts
• Tracking fuel economy and costs
• Sending push notifications for service reminders

Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase (powered by PostgreSQL) with Row Level Security enabled on all tables. All data transmission is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS. We do not sell, share, or transfer your personal data to third parties.

Third-Party Services

• Supabase: Database and authentication provider.
• Anthropic (Claude AI): Powers the Truck Whisperer AI advisor. Conversation data is processed to provide maintenance guidance but is not stored by Anthropic beyond the session.
• NHTSA: Vehicle recall data is fetched from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration public API.

No Advertising or Tracking

Ram Tracker does not display advertisements, does not use analytics or tracking SDKs, and does not share your data with advertisers or data brokers.

Biometric Data

The App supports Face ID and Touch ID for secure access. Biometric data is processed entirely on your device by Apple's LocalAuthentication framework. We never receive, store, or transmit biometric data.

Data Deletion

You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us. Upon account deletion, all personal data, vehicle records, photos, and maintenance history will be permanently removed.

Children's Privacy

Ram Tracker is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
